[StageBuilder] [Instructions]

Welcome to the gunracer.com StageBuilder!

What's new:

Fixed a little glitch caused by my host's anti-hotlinking addon. You should see images again. Thanks to Paul W. for the heads up.

What it is:

StageBuilder is not a "program", it's an interactive webpage which uses javascript and layers. It is intended as a quick and easy way to rough out and print stage designs for practical pistol competitions. The files are very compact and will easily fit on a floppy disk.

To launch StageBuilder, click the banner or link above. StageBuilder is designed for a monitor resolution of 1024x768, ie: your screen should print full page (set on landscape!) without cutting anything off. It works on a PC using Mozilla Firefox or Internet Exploder.

Saving your design update:

Ed Jones has pointed out that you can actually email a completed design by "Select All" and copying everything into your email message. I found some images might become displaced using this method, though.

We experimented saving the completed design as "Web Page, complete", but then we lost the form information.

Another way to save your design is a variation on the screen grab method outlined in the Instructions. If you use Firefox, there is a handy extension called "Screen grab!" which you can download here. With this extension installed, you can size your browser window to the design, grab it, and save it as a .png image. The file is quite small and easy to print or email.

As we know, there are known knowns. And there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns. That is to say we know there are some things we do not know, but there are also unknown unknowns, the ones we don't know we don't know.
--Donald Rumsfeld, Secretary of Defense

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
